This play won last year's playwriting competition with Veterans Repertory Theater ( Christopher Paul Meyer) and they have shepherded the play through a development process leading to this reading at Penguin Repertory Theatre (Joe Brancato).

I could not be more honored and excited to be working director Bob Balaban and the incredible Edie Falco.  Looking forward to getting into the rehearsal room next week with them and Leonidas Ocampo.

Now available for licensing!

Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Your Teachers (but were afraid to ask)
My newest one-act comedy for schools is now available from Stage Partners! With a large, flexible cast, and a topic everyone can relate to, this one has already picked up a bunch of productions.

I had a blast writing it! In the research phase, I even polled teachers and students at play festivals around the country to find out what students wanted to know and teacher didn't want them to find out.

You can read the script in its entirety at Stage Partners - so check it out:

The residents of the small town of Bethel are facing a crisis: their beloved park has been sold out from under them and it's sending their lives into a tailspin. The sudden shift has also made them realize they're more connected to each other and the nature around them than ever before. Now they must act on it. Through seven interconnected vignettes, the sixteen citizens lose their jobs, homes, and spouses but find love, faith, courage, and forgiveness. Spanning the four seasons of the year, the park magically transforms over a single day.

New play published: When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors

A new one-act comedy for schools When Bad Things Happen to Good Actors is now available from Stage Partners!

Written with funny man and one of the popular playwrights in high schools... Sir Ian McWethy! So, you might have guessed it... it's a comedy. Ian wrote all the funny parts and I wrote some of the stage directions. Okay, we wrote it together. But I sat on his shoulders.

Read the whole thing for FREE it's entirety on the Stage Partners website (link above). Every day. Every night. Whenever you want.

  • Comedy
  • One-act. 25-30 minutes
  • 10-30 actors, gender flexible
  • The one where a simple one act production of The Wizard of Oz gets derailed by missed cues, forgotten lines, a renegade sound board op who refuses to play anything but dinosaur noises.  A comedy that proves, when it comes to live theatre, everything that can go wrong, will go wrong, and it will be hilarious.
